Why scan before cutting
Radiography meant stopping work, clearing people and electronics, and waiting on a specially trained tech. GPR does the inspection without those safety hazards and at a fraction of the cost, so construction can continue through the imaging.
High-frequency antennas and signal analysis locate conduits, bars, and cables in the concrete, and they can also show voids or weak zones under buildings, roads, and bridges. The same scan is used to find buried tanks and utility services in soil, concrete, or asphalt.
What the scan gives you
The GPR system images an area in real time from one side, without evacuation and without damaging the surface. A full array of antennas reaches 18 inches or more in concrete. Results can be viewed as a 3-D image, which often shows features a single vertical profile misses.
